Having
a Look at Jesus?
Having a Look at Christianity?
Having a look at us?
We don't ask you to take us on trust or believe anything we say. We
expect you to take your time to find out what the truth really is. But
we want to help you take a careful look at Jesus and see for yourself
whether his claims really stand up to the test of real life.
We believe that the best way of meeting Jesus is by getting to know his
followers, reading his book, the Bible, and talking to him (which we
call praying). In our church you will find a group of ordinary people,
not claiming to be any better than anyone else, but who do claim to
have experienced God's love, forgiveness and acceptance.
We run a number of courses for people who don't want to make any
commitments or join anything but just want to have a look.
If you need to slow down and make time for listening, go to The
Labyrinth, and take a 40 minute
journey into a holy place, and back out
again into the outside world. (requires Flash) This is an internet
version of a spiritual labyrinth that has been touring English
cathedrals recently - whatever your age, you will enjoy it.
If you enjoyed the labyrinth, you might be interested in a course
introducing Christian spirituality, called Essence.
It runs over six
sessions, produced by the same team who are promoting the musicals
"Hopes and Dreams" and "Here and Now" -
this is what they say about it - "Essence is designed for all who
recognise they are on a spiritual journey and who have a desire to
travel further on that journey Written from a Christian perspective,
the programme aims to encourage all fellow travellers on their
pilgrimage, both within and outside the church community. Our hope is
that all who participate will deepend their spiritual life and come to
a richer understanding of the God whose glory is revealed in a woman or
man who is fully alive."
If you are interested either in being a fellow traveller on that
journey or perhaps one of the course leaders or helpers please contact
me using the email enquiry form on our homepage.
You might want to have a look at some of these web sites as well - and
do your exploring from the privacy of your own keyboard.
