Privacy Policy
This web site respects
your privacy. We do not currently set cookies. If we do use cookies in
the future, they will only be in connection with services (such as
forums) where you voluntarily sign up for a password protected service
and the cookie will be solely to enable you to use that service more
efficiently.
We do NOT pass your data on to anyone else for any purpose whatsoever.
If you contact us by email, using the form provided, then we
will only use your personal data for responding to your own enquiry. We
do NOT make personal information available to any other party without your explicit informed consent.
We use website logs provided on the servers of our domain hosting company, to analyse visits to our web site, and to keep an
eye on security of the site, but the information in these logs is not
used to identify individuals. It does allow us to identify visits by
malicious robots and we have processes in place to prevent such spam
harvesting robots accessing our site automatically and compromising our
security, copying our content and using our bandwidth.
In the event that Internet Service Providers introduce tracking and
profiling services, and attempt to profile your use of this site, we
will use whatever methods at our disposal to prevent access to the site
by those who have such profiling activated by their ISP. In this case,
users may find they are unable to access the site until they switch the
profiling service off. Services we are aware of that might cause this
include NebuAd® being trialled by ISP's in the USA, and Phorm/Webwise,
being trialled by BT® and also considered by Virgin Media® and
TalkTalk®. We consider
this technology to be illegal, and we oppose its
use vehemently. We particularly object to the way in which it exploits
the copyright content of the site for commercial gain and also sets
cookies using our domain name without our consent. We will not permit
such activity and if you are opted into such a system you will not be
able to browse our site. We suggest that you opt out of their tracking
system and contact your ISP to complain. We are currently taking protective action both Phorm and NebuAd.
