First Sunday morning in the month is our family service followed by refreshments. In other services, children worship with us for the first 20 minutes or so and then leave for their
own activities
- if you would like to meet a children's teacher before the service, please just ask. Details of the current week's theme and the order of service are usually available on this page or
Hot News
towards the end of the week.
We also use resources from "Family Worship" - you can hear one of their songs called "Rising Generation by clicking on the player above. Our Treasurer and pianist Tony has also written some songs which you can look at on
his own song page here
.
Communion services are held on the first Sunday (pm) and the third Sunday (am) of each month. Our evening services are much less formal, as we explore different ways of worshipping together.
We aim for a relaxed but structured form of worship and a friendly welcoming atmosphere, using Songs of Fellowship as our songbook. Services are sometimes quiet, sometimes lively and last about an hour and a quarter, and include times of open prayer with congregational participation. We use adata projector for songs and visuals, but if you would prefer a songbook or even a large print version, please ask. Biblical preaching is important to us, but you won't be asked to sit through long sermons!
Messy Church!!
- we also hold an worship and fun event for families (interpreted broadly!) called "
Messy Church
" - which happens on a Saturday every 2-3 months. It involves craft, stories, singing, and EATING and is aimed mainly at families with children between 0-10 - but older children are welcome, and can be a vital part of the help team.
Anyone is welcome to come and join us, whether you are a Christian believer or not. We take special care to make
sure that deaf people are not disadvantaged, and try and make sure all contributors to worship can be heard via our loop system, using hand held microphones during times of open prayer.
